Programs offered include Head Start, Early Head Start, Child Care (age 0-12), Pre-K Counts, and Healthy Families America. The successful candidate must have knowledge of the following: management, administration, and human development principles; functions of a social services grantee; Head Start or comparable preschool child development programs; and associated federal, state, and local regulations; as well as the ability to build professional partnerships within the early childhood, social services, and education communities. The position requires skill in dealing with people, diplomacy, tact, and discretion plus exceptional written and oral communication skills, creativity, the ability to solve problems strategically, and demonstrated success in managing multiple projects.
