Must have a solid knowledge of disabilities and mental health principles and theories, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preference will be considered for a PA Behavior Specialist License and/or experience with positive behavioral supports implementation in an early childhood setting.

Education and Background Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred) in a field relevant to administering a comprehensive early childhood program (e.g., public administration, human services management, etc.).
  • At least five years of experience as a leader, including experience working in a Head Start program.
  • Knowledge in principles of management, administration, human development, adult learning, functions of community agencies and systems.
  • Knowledge of financial management, including budget preparation, fiscal analysis, and monitoring.
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations related to grants management and personnel management.
  • Understanding of principles, practices, and objectives of early childhood education and HS/EHS programs.
  • Experience with problem solving, group facilitation.
