Summary: This is a before and after school programs that are located at the Lewistown and Indian Valley Elementary Schools. Summary of Duties: Needing to hire one head start/child care assistant teacher and several head start assistant teachers. The assistant teacher aids in the classroom helping to deliver head start and childcare services to a group of about 20 children ages 3-5. The successful candidate will assist and participate in all daily routines, implement the curriculum and daily plans and provide a safe environment throughout the day. Summary of Duties: Transport groups of 20 or less children ages 3-5 years old to and from home and center on an air-conditioned school bus. Strodes Mills head start has two classrooms with two different start times. There is also another adult riding the bus with the children, as a bus monitor, who watches and takes care of the children during transport.
