We are feeling SPRING in the air! Are you? It’s nice to be able to spend more time outdoors and the children are loving it too! Not only are the kiddos having tons of fun, there are all kinds of benefits for children when they play outside!
With the warmer weather, we will be able to resume our home visits with families and meet outdoors too! Although, our Home Visitors have still been meeting with families virtually, it will be nice to be together in person again!

OUR GRATITUDE
We want to thank everyone for participating in Raise The Region this year! Whether you donated to SUMMIT or another nonprofit or took some time to raise awareness, we are grateful for your support! We were pleasantly surprised with so many new donors this year!
All donations will be put to use to support and enhance our classrooms and in-home programs! Here are the kiddos sharing our thoughts – quite loudly – as only kids can do! 😂
DON’T FORGET ABOUT THE GROCERY GIVEAWAY PROGRAM
Know someone in need of food, or need some help yourself? Through The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), we are distributing food the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month.
- WHEN: 2nd and 4th Fridays from 3 – 5 PM.
- WHERE: Mifflinburg Assembly of God Church (1001 Market Street, Mifflinburg PA).
- REGISTRATION: Call 570-217-1215 to register.
Drive through distribution is available to those who qualify. Income requirements are up to 150% of poverty level. For example, a family of 4 qualifies if their income is under $39,300.
HAVING A BABY?
Do you live in Northumberland, Snyder, Union, or Mifflin Counties? Are you or someone you know getting ready to have a baby? We would like to celebrate with you! Join us for a Virtual Baby Shower! There will be games and prizes, in addition to information about our programs for expectant and new parents!

HAPPY NATIONAL READING MONTH
We are in the middle of National Reading Month and there are a lot of activities going on in our programs to celebrate the importance of reading!
Children got a big surprise when The Cat in the Hat (AKA Doug, our executive director) showed up in their classrooms.
