Parent Cafe'

Parent Cafés are put together for groups of parents to have conversations about questions that matter. They provide a safe environment for parents to talk with one another about ways to strengthen their families and communities.

As a parent, you will:

  • Interact with other parents and talk about things that are important to families.
  • Have the opportunity to develop your own social and leadership skills.
  • Learn about the “Protective Factors,” which are:
    1. Resilience – Parenting Resilience-being strong and flexible
    2. Relationships – Social Connections-parents need friends
    3. Knowledge – of Parenting and Child Development
    4. Support – Concrete Support in Times of Need-everybody needs help
    5. Communication – Social and Emotional Competence of Children-parents need to help their children communicate
