QUALIFICATIONS: Required Education: Associates degree in Early Childhood Education, or an associates degree in a related field (child development, special education, elementary education, or human services) with 30 early childhood education credits and experience working in an early childhood setting.
Preferred Education: Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field plus 30 ECE credits); 2 or more years’ experience in ECE programs, supervisory experience, ECE certification.
Must have an interest in child development, a flexible personality, the ability to work independently, and excellent verbal and written communication skills, plus enjoy variety in daily work routines. Successful candidates will also have proven leadership abilities, creativity in teaching, team management, and supervision, as well as the ability to work as part of a team.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure the delivery of a quality early childhood education program in compliance with all applicable regulations. With the support of a qualified team and using research-based curriculum, oversee the operation and activities of supervised groups and classroom planning. Ensure developmentally-appropriate comprehensive program and classroom plans that meet children’s group and individual needs, and follow SUMMIT Early Learning curriculum and philosophy.
LOCATION: LEWISBURG CHILDREN’S CENTER, Lewisburg, PA
HOURS & SALARY: Full-time (40 hours/week, 260 days/year, 8 hours/day), Monday – Friday, $17.99-$19.70 per hour depending upon qualifications.
Rate of Pay: based on education/experience
