QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Education:
   -AA/AS in early childhood education (ECE), or
   -AA/AS in related field (child development, special education, elementary education, or human services) w/ 30 ECE credits

Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, or Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 30 ECE credits.

RESPONSIBILITIES: In a center-based early childhood classroom, the head teacher is responsible for collaborating with the classroom’s assistant teacher in managing all aspects of services planning, coordination, recordkeeping, problem solving, and communication to ensure delivery of a quality early childhood education program in compliance with all applicable regulations for enrolled children and families. Must have an interest in child development, a flexible personality and enjoy a variety in daily work routines. Must also have the ability to work with cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic diverse populations, work independently, plus have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

HOURS & SALARY:
Full-time (40 hours per week), Monday – Friday. (Based on the school-year calendar.) $17.99- $19.70/hour, 200 days/year, 8 hours/day.

  Rate of Pay: based on education/experience
      Associate Degree in ECE or related field: $17.99/hour
      Bachelor’s Degree in ECE or related field: $19.70/hour
