TEACHER (Head Start / Child Care, year-round)

We are looking for a caring individual who has a passion for helping children learn and grow and who has a passion for making a difference in the lives of children and families everyday.

QUALIFICATIONS: Required Education: Associates degree in early childhood education, or an associates degree in a related field (child development, special education, elementary education, or human services) with 30 early childhood education credits and experience working in an early childhood setting.

Must have an interest in child development, a flexible personality, the ability to work independently, and excellent verbal and written communication skills, plus enjoy variety in daily work routines.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES: With the support of a qualified team and using research-based curriculum, work with culturally, ethnically, and socio-economically, diverse population of children/families and ensure the delivery of a quality early childhood education program in compliance with all applicable regulations.

LOCATION:
LEWISTOWN CHILDREN’S CENTER, Lewistown, PA 
MIFFLINBURG CHILDREN’S CENTER, Mifflinburg, PA

HOURS & SALARY: Full-time (40 hours/week, 260 days/year, 8 hours/day), Monday – Friday, $17.99-19.70 per hour

          Rate of Pay: based on education/experience
            Associate Degree in ECE or related field: $17.99/hour
           Bachelor’s Degree in ECE or related field: $19.70/hour
