We are hiring a Head Teacher for our August program start—and we’re doing things differently.

$3,000 Sign-On Bonus (Structured for Your Success)
We’ve designed our bonus to support you from day one—not months later:

• $500 after you start in August and complete onboarding/training (paid on your first paycheck)
• $1,500 after 30 days of successful employment
• $1,000 after successful completion of your provisional period
• Plus: Paid training hours before and at the start of the role

You won’t be on you own. We provide an assigned mentor before you even start, ongoing support through your first months and a structured onboarding and training plan. We stay connected with you before your first day, so you feel prepared and confident walking in.

QUALIFICATIONS: Required education: Associates degree in Early Childhood Education, or an associate’s degree in a related field (child development, special education, elementary education or human services) with 30 early childhood education credits. Experience in early childhood/classroom settings is preferred. Strong communication, classroom leadership skills and a passion for working with children and families a must.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead a preschool classroom aligned with Head Start standards, support children’s development across social, emotional, and academic areas, create a safe, engaging, and structured learning environment and partner with families and program staff.

LOCATION:
LEWISTOWN CHILDREN’S CENTER, Lewistown, PA 

HOURS & SALARY: Full-time (40 hours/week, 200 days/year), Monday – Friday. Wage per hour is $18.11-$19.83 per hour depending upon level of education.

Rate of Pay:
           Associate Degree in ECE or related field: $18.11/hour
          Bachelor’s Degree in ECE or related field: $19.83/hour
