FAMILY ADVOCATE - Head Start

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum qualification is a high school diploma or equivalent; prefer an associate’s degree in a human services related degree and experience working with families.  It is also important to have an interest and concern for helping children and their families, ability to communicate effectively, a willingness to learn and motivation and self-discipline to work independently.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Facilitate relationships among the home, the parents, community agencies, and resources and the staff in Head Start classes. Provide a planned program of experience and activities that support and enhance the parents’ role as the principal influence in their child’s education and development within the Head Start program.

LOCATION: Selinsgrove, PA

HOURS & SALARY: $15.56 – $16.05 depending upon qualifications.  7.5 hours/day; 260 days/year
