EDUCATION SERVICES COORDINATOR

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required: Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or one of the following related fields, with 30 credits in early childhood education: special education, elementary education, psychology, or sociology; 5 years’ employment experience in early care and education; and 2 years’ supervisory experience in early care and education
Preferred: 2 years’ experience in early childhood program administration and operations, plus the required degree with an understanding of early care and education/child development current theories and best practices
- Strong belief in the value of early childhood education
- Problem solving and group facilitation skills, and the ability to work well with others
- Knowledge of research-based early childhood education practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage and oversee the daily operations of the early childhood education services to guarantee high quality and customer satisfaction. Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and guidance, including Head Start performance standards for education. Coordinate Early Childhood Education services and programming, including monitoring enrollment and efficiencies, management and oversight of curriculum, classroom quality, staffing, staff development and supervision of Center Directors plus supervise community-based classrooms in collaboration with school districts and intermediate units.
LOCATION: Central Office, Mifflinburg, PA
HOURS & SALARY: Full-time (40 hours/week, 260 days/year, 8 hours/day), Salary: $52,600.
