We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Education Coach to join our team. This role is crucial in supporting our staff and improving educational and social-emotional outcomes for children and families. The ideal candidate will have a strong belief in the value of early childhood education and a passion for facilitating adult learning. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field and minimum of 2 years of experience in early childhood; problem solving and group facilitation skills; knowledge in early childhood education; effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Preferred: Five years of experience in early childhood and experience with adult learning.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish trusting and collaborative relationships with classroom staff, center directors, site supervisors, family support assistants, home visiting staff, and supervisory staff.
  • Develop, implement, and provide positive coaching approaches for classroom staff, home visitors, and family support staff.
  • Observe patterns of interaction and define issues of concern related to educational and social-emotional functioning, setting goals to improve effective practices.
  • Utilize assessment data to drive coaching strategies aligned with program performance standards.
  • Analyze ongoing assessment data to measure improvement in child and family outcomes.
  • Share resources, provide models of effective practices, observe current practices, develop improvement plans, and provide supportive and effective feedback to staff.
  • Stay current with best practices and provide leadership, resources, guidance, support, mentoring, and training to staff, parents, and collaborative partners.
  • Maintain knowledge of the curriculum and operational procedures related to early childhood.

LOCATION: Union & Snyder Counties (vehicle available for use)

HOURS & SALARY: Full-time position, 8 hours/day, Monday – Friday; $19.30/hour, 200 days/year plus minimal summer hours.
