We need a dynamic, energetic, and experienced professional to serve as the Center Director of SUMMIT Early Learning, Lewisburg, a STAR 4 Center. QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
• Associate degree in early childhood education or related field with a minimum of 15 credits in early childhood education
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an early childhood setting
• At least 1 year of management / supervisory experience in early childhood education programs 
• Must obtain PA Keystone STARS Director certificate within 2 ½ years of hire, beginning the process within 6 months

Preferred:
• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field with a minimum of 15 credits in early childhood education
• At least 2 years’ management / supervisory experience in early childhood programs
• PA Keystone STARS Director certificate

Knowledge and skills required:
Early childhood development curricula.

• Child behavior management which supports learning in a relaxed, calm classroom environment

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Center Director is responsible for creating and managing an attractive, warm, and challenging learning environment for young children, incorporating developmentally appropriate learning activities that meet the needs of the group as well as those of individual children. The Center Director will manage and oversee the daily functioning of the early childhood education services in a children’s center. Coordinate programs, services, and staff and act as named Center Director for Department of Human Services (DHS) and STARS regulations and named site manager for Head Start, Early Head Start, Pre-K Counts, and other programs housed in the center.

HOURS & SALARY: Salaried position, $48,942/year; 8+ hours/day, Monday through Friday.
