SUMMIT Early Learning Lewistown, a 4 STAR center, is seeing a Center Director. This position is perfect for a dynamic, energetic, experienced professional in the field of early childhood education (ECE).
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum qualification of an associate’s degree in early childhood education or related field, with a minimum of 30 credits in early childhood education (ECE); minimum of 2 years’ experience in an early childhood setting, and at least 1 year’s management/supervisory experience in ECE programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Center Director is responsible for creating and managing an attractive, warm, and challenging learning environment for young children by incorporating developmentally appropriate activities that meet the needs of both the group and individual children, while also overseeing the daily operations of the center’s early childhood education services. This includes coordinating programs, services, and staff, and serving as the named Center Director for Department of Human Services (DHS) and STARS regulations, as well as the site manager for Head Start, Early Head Start, Pre-K Counts, and other programs housed within the center. Knowledge and skills in early childhood development curricula; creativity in team management and supervision; effective supervision skills; effective time management; child behavior management which supports learning in a relaxed, calm classroom environment.
LOCATION: Lewistown Children’s Center | Lewistown, PA
HOURS & SALARY: $48,942/year; Monday through Friday.
