Healthy Families Central Pennsylvania

  • A free voluntary home visiting service for expectant and new parents.
  • Support throughout pregnancy and early childhood years.
  • Education related to healthy child development and positive parent-child interactions.
  • When needed, services are designed to meet the needs of families with current or past substance use disorders or addiction related diseases.

Services will vary depending on the length of time in the program and the child’s age. Our skilled and supportive Home Visitors provide guidance to strengthen the parent’s bonds with their baby or young child. A home visit might include goal setting related to the family’s needs, a review of baby’s sleep habits, and talking about or trying out new learning activities.

Our caring Home Visitors offer a listening ear and help moms and dads navigate the joys and challenges of parenting. We also provide social opportunities for families to get together while children play and parents can make new friends and be a source of support for one another.

  • Being a new parent can be overwhelming and having someone to guide you through the ups and downs can be a wonderful opportunity!
