HEAD START TEACHER (school year)

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of an associate’s degree in early childhood education or an associate’s in related field with 15 ECE credits.

EDUCATIONAL COACH

SUMMIT Early Learning is seeking motivated and energetic individuals to join our team. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent time management and organizational skills, and be trustworthy as well as a self-starter. 

QUALIFICATIONS: Required: Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field and minimum of 2 years’ experience in early childhood. Preferred: At least 5 years’ experience in early childhood and experience in adult education and training.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Educational Coach, with a minimum of two years’ experience in early childhood and experience in adult learning, implements practice-based processes for supporting staff’s use of effective practices that lead to positive outcomes for children and families; must have a strong belief in the value of early childhood education and the ability to work well with others; must be willing to travel to all agency locations (Snyder, Union, Mifflin counties). Agency vehicle provided.

LOCATION: Position requires travel throughout Union, Snyder, and Mifflin counties.

HOURS & SALARY: Full-time position at 8 hours/day, Monday – Friday; $17.09 – $17.78/hour depending upon qualifications.

ENROLLMENT SPECIALIST

Full-time position, located in Selinsgrove, marketing SUMMIT Early Learning programs and providing excellent customer service to prospective and current clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain full enrollment in programs by efficiently and effectively assisting families in program selection, collecting required enrollment documentation, enrolling children, and transitioning children to program staff. Will assist the Enrollment Coordinator as needed and assist in other service location areas as assigned. Must have the ability to work with cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic diverse populations, must work independently and be able to manage multiple projects, plus have excellent verbal and written communication skills and office management and data system skills.

QUALIFICATIONS: Associate’s degree and 2 years professional administrative/customer service experience preferred; in lieu of degree, may consider years of related experience.

LOCATION:
SUSQUEHANNA CHILDREN’S CENTER: 590 University Avenue, Selinsgrove, PA

HOURS & SALARY: full-time position, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday. Salary is $14.91 – $15.51 depending upon qualifications.

ASSISTANT TEACHERS - Centers for School Age Development (before school and/or after school)

Do you enjoy working with school aged children, kindergarten through 6th grade? This is a great opportunity for part-time work, Monday through Friday. Morning and/or afternoon shifts available.

QUALIFICATIONS: Two years’ experience working with young children preferred. Experiences can include babysitting, vacation bible school, Sunday school, volunteering in a classroom setting.

Must have an interest in child development and a flexible personality, as well as enjoy variety in daily work routines. Must have the desire and ability to work with culturally, ethnically, and socio-economically diverse populations, be able to work independently, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

BUS DRIVER

Transport groups of 20 or less children ages 3-5 years old to and from home and center on an air-conditioned school bus, working as a team with the Bus Monitor who also rides the bus and takes care of the children.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma required plus proof of a safe driving record, proper insurance, and current Commercial Driver’s License with S endorsement. Must be a licensed driver for at least the past 5 years. 

LOCATION: MIFFLIN COUNTY 

HOURS & SALARY: 35 hours/week, 200 days/year. Monday – Friday.  $12.77 – $13.29/hour, depending on experience.
